The Energy & Mineral Division focuses on two specific industries: Energy and Mineral Resources.






Energy
In the energy business, SCA is actively involved in the Americas market for various energy sources and power generation. On the LNG front, SCA is actively pursuing the development of LNG infrastructure and the distribution of the finished product throughout the Atlantic region. SCA uses its expertise to participate in the North American power generation and transmission market and upstream concessions in oil and gas fields.

Mineral Resources
The Mineral Resources department distributes Venezuelan HBI (hot briquette iron) to the US as well as to the European and Asian steel markets. Coking coal is imported from China to the North American steel industry. SCA has further investments in, and export contracts with, copper and nickel mining companies in Latin America.
